The Pantry Girls, Carla and Karen, are back at Reading Room Brighton, opening our new supper club season with A Taste of Nostalgia.
Taking a playful nod from the school-dinner era, expect proper nostalgic cooking, generous portions and much-loved classics, all brought together with a modern Reading Room touch. Think cheese flan, slow-cooked stew and dumplings, pink custard and plenty of the flavours you remember, just perhaps not quite as you remember them.
The evening begins with a Babycham 75 on arrival, followed by savoury snacks for the table and a three-course supper created by Carla and Karen.
A little surprise treat to finish the meal, giving the evening one final delicious touch before you head home.
Guests may be seated together at shared tables. Come with friends or join us on your own, settle in and enjoy an evening of nostalgic cooking and good company.

Oxtail and braised beef slow-cooked in a rich red wine gravy, with fluffy beef suet dumplings, creamy mash and buttered greens

Booking Terms and Conditions
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
Cancellations made within seven days of the event are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your booking to another guest. Please let us know the name of the person attending in your place.
Vegetarian versions of the starter and main course are available on request. Please add this to your booking notes when reserving your place.
This is a set menu and, as the dishes are being prepared specifically for the evening, we are unable to accommodate any dietary requirements or allergens.
Depending on your party size and the layout of the evening, you may be seated alongside other guests as part of the supper club experience. We will do our best to seat guests from the same booking together, but specific seating requests cannot be guaranteed.
A discretionary 12.5% service charge will be added to your bill. If you would like this removed, please ask your server.
If Reading Room needs to cancel or reschedule the event, guests will be offered a transfer to the new date or a full refund.
